DO NOT BUY IT IF UR PSP IS HACKED (2009-06-14)
ok lets see, i bought this to help me in my game specially SoCom ..

I have a Slim and a phat both running on CFW 5.0 M33-6 and after the battery is on low .. i plug in the Grip, to give me the so called 6 extra hours .. ya well ..

It gives me about 2 hours, and when it starts to loose some of ita power .. it kills the PSP and it also killed my Phat battery!! Yes Killed it.

tried it on the Slim .. and it did the same .. but the battery was saved ..

The best way to play with this for my custom PSP's was to take the battery out .. hoch up the grip on the charger and hock the grip tp the psp.

Waste of Money BIG TIME.

iF YOU GUYS REALLY WANT THIS .. TRY TO LOOK FOR THE DATEL GRIP.

Great ergonomic handle but lousy battery charge function (2009-06-07)
The handle makes playing the PSP much easier and very similar to other game platform controllers but when it is plugged into the PSP as advertised it will not allow any charging and will drain the PSP battery in very short time.
I'm not dissapointed with the unit as a whole because all I really wanted when I purchased it was an ergonomic grip which this unit definately has.
Even with the limited charge function I would still recommend it for the low price for that reason.

PSP grip with built-in charger (2009-05-16)
I do not know but it seems that this product does not really hold a charge to give me more time to play the psp even when I charged it for more than 8 hours.

Not worth it (2009-02-22)
Not worth the money in my opinion. Within the first hour one of the pins broke and the PSP itself doesn't even fit in there snuggly. The battery also did not seem to work for me. After being fed up with it I took it apart and found that the inside is simply just 4 rechargable AAA Batteries that are wired to a charging port

Great to buy if you wish to be part of a class action suit (2009-01-20)
I, like many others, got this item with the [apparently mistaken] idea that it would contain some sort of battery backup for the PSP. I got this for Christmas and quickly set about charging the "battery." I plugged my PSP charger into the connector on the handle and waited the noted 3.5 hours. Once done I plugged the connector on the handle into my PSP and watched in awe as absolutely nothing happened. As there were no instructions with the item I figured the problem was mine and I then attempted to charge the handle with the outgoing charger plugged into my PSP. After 3.5 hours, the item continued on it's consistent way by doing absolutely nothing again. "Well," I thought "this one must be damaged." and proceeded to return it for another. After receiving the new product I again charged it for 3.5 hours and low and behold, this time, when I plugged it into my PSP, the charge light came on for nearly 10 seconds before going off. I charged it for another 3.5 hours and powered on the PSP. Once I plugged the Grip, I checked the power status of the device and found that it was listed as external for nearly 10 seconds again before switching back to it's standard battery. As 10 seconds is slightly less than the 21,600 seconds promised by the device, I would recommend that you purchase this item only if you have the time to ship back the one you are initially received and need less than 10 seconds additional power for your PSP. As for me, I was looking forward to the other 21,590 seconds of backup power.

If 0 stars was an option I would have happily awarded it to this grip.
